Dust Off the Dancin’ Shoes
For the first time since the Nolan era, the Hogs are back in the big show. Don't get me wrong, I'm not ready to hang another banner in Bud Walton Arena just yet, but man it's nice to be back on the road to excellence...baby steps.
It's no secret that Coach Heath was on the verge of losing his job until the "streak". I think with this appearance in the dance, Heath will have a few more years as the Head Hog.
As far as the opponent in the first round, Bucknell...well I honestly don't know much about them other than they went 14-0 in conference play and return all 5 starters from a team that knocked out #3 seeded Kansas last year. However, the fact that this is the first NCAA appearance for the Hogs since the '01 season added to the fact that they will be playing in Dallas(aka Barnhill/Bud Walton South) gives the good guys an edge. This one will be close for most of the game, but Hogs will pull away down the stretch.
