D-Mac Is On A Lot of Covers

lunqopnpejrxllm20070816170135.jpg
Nicely done yet again.

For the second time this week, news of an appearance by D-Mac on a nationally prominent magazine has broken. Here, we have Humanity Advanced on the cover of ESPN in another set of three regional covers.

For this preseason, ESPN will be the 9th national publication that has featured McFadden on it’s cover.

The other eight:

Sports Illustrated
Blue Ribbon College Football
Lindy’s
Phil Steele College Football
The Sporting News
Athlon
Street and Smith’s
USA Today Sports Weekly

Gotta love some good press, finally.

Very nice, Darren. Very nice.

For the first time in over a decade, a Razorback will be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Granted, this is just one of a set of five regional covers, but we’ll take it. Impressive work.

Also, we didn’t have time to get to this today, and we may talk about it later, but check out Coach Pelphrey’s newest recruit. Lovin’ it. It’s about time we got some European flava up in this Bud.

We’re off tomorrow, we’ll see you on Thursday.

Kige Ramsey Weighs In On The Heisman

If you had any doubts before today that D-Mac would take the 2007 Heisman, you best prepare a warm glass of milk, because it’s time to put those doubts to bed.

Yep, there’s no way he can lose now. Apparently, John David Booty isn’t eligible for the Heisman until he leaves college.

Darren McFadden’s Family Profiled

ESPN’s Pat Forde was writing this article when he got the quote that broke out last week about McFadden going pro. The article is a good one on D-Mac’s past and his mother.

McFadden Going Pro…or Not

ESPN’s Pat Forde talked to Darren McFadden’s Mother last week and Forde quoted her as saying…

“He told me [Friday], ‘Mom, I’ll be through in December,’” Mini Muhammed said. “I said, ‘What you mean?’ He said, ‘I’ll be through.’ That’s what he told me.”

Asked if that meant her son would be entering the draft and joining the NFL, Muhammed said, “Yeah. He’ll be making big money.”

The next day she backtracked and her son held a press conference after Saturday’s scrimmage to deny the reports. The Links Below are the original ESPN story, The Morning News story about McFadden’s Press Conference, and AOL Fanhouse’s opinion on the story which I tend to agree with (He’s Leaving regardless of what he’s saying now).

Do The D-Mac

We think we’ve seen this somewhere before.

There’s a bit of press on our boy D-Mac that’s taken over the front page of ESPN.com. We haven’t read the Forde article yet, but we plan on doing so shortly. Hopefully Mini Muhammad doesn’t drop any more shocking revelations on Hog fans. We’ll let you know if there’s anything of note. In the meantime, check out each of the links.
